If you're looking for a great band with a unique sound then I Fight Dragons is a good one to take a look at! This band uses sounds from old Nintendo gaming consoles to enhance their music creating a very cool style.
The band originates from Chicago and is currently made up of five member who each have varying roles which I'll list now!
- Brian Mazzaferri is the lead vocalist, plays guitar and also provides NES and Game Boy chiptune sounds.
- Hari Roa is the bands bassist.
- Packy Lundholm provides vocals and plays lead guitar.
- Chad Van Dahm plays the drums.
- Bill Prokopow provides vocals, plays the keyboard and provides a range of chiptune sounds of various devices including a Rock Band Guitar and Power Pad!
If you're looking to get into the band their latest album KABOOM! is definitely a great one to start with and is my favourite of their so far.
A mix of upbeat and feel good music makes you feel like you can do anything. The songs have an epic feel that definitely goes along with the bands name.
Songs on the album you should definitely check out are 'Fight For You', 'The Geeks Will Inherit the Earth' and 'Disaster Hearts'... Which all happen to be right next to each other in the track listing. Definitely check out others as well!
Also the band have a new album in the works to be released this year so if you like what you hear look forward to it!!
